Floridian Stories: Setting A Course

The past two or three years have been dedicated to developing a body of work surrounding the idea of using art as therapy when recovering from trauma. I would like to continue with my work in this class. For this photo session, I chose to focus on developing a general direction from which I would like to approach the assignment 'Floridian Stories'. The title, particularly the word 'stories,' inspired me to think about Florida's historical past. That idea translates into my work through the photographing of lines, textures, compositions that create lines, etc. The color red has been an important aspect of my work.

In the coming weeks, I hope to explore more of Florida's history regarding human sex trafficking, its research on the topic of art in therapy, and historical state court cases related to abuse.

That being said, here are this week's photo's. Enjoy!
