Some well known photographers that I have looked at a lot in the past and admired their work are Henri Cartier-Bresson and Helen Levitt. I draw some inspiration from these two artists in their street photography and ability to capture candid moments, which is something I'm working on for this project.
I have also researched Daniela Spector (danielaspector.com) and Vanessa Granda (nessanoir.com) for some inspiration. Their style of lifestyle photography is similar to what I like to shoot and what I am shooting for this project.
I think my theme of different people interacting in their Floridian environment and unique and beautiful places in Florida needs to be a little more refined and specific, so I am working on selecting specific elements to tie my 40 images together. I have also looked at the work of Nan Goldin and similar to her work I am going to try to do more experimentation with manipulating my photographs more and interacting with my subjects, rather than capturing the first thing I see.
