Artist Research

The photo shows a white swan against the sunlit surface of a body of water. It's similar to my work in its approach to photographing animals in or near water that almost acts as personification of their character. The dazzling reflections on this photo imply beauty, a scattering of diamond-like patterns across the surface. I also enjoy shooting high contrast photos which is another shared trait.

Sadly with my camera I'm unable to take underwater photography but I am very drawn to works of underwater photography. Water makes everything so sinuous and graceful. The included photo is of a leafy sea dragon. Besides the shape of the sea dragon itself, the most stunning part of the photo is how the water is photographed, with some very high contrast areas and beautiful rich coloring.

Just one extra underwater photographer's work. I think "modeling" underwater makes everything more beautiful and ethereal.
